up momís self esteem and quality of
Pacific Health & Rehabilitation offers both private
and semi-private rooms. Resident common areas
include a family area where residents and their
families gather to share meals, play games and
socialize. The main dining room is spacious and able
to accommodate special events and resident parties.
Outdoor natural spaces provide an area to stroll and
visit. And, our activities program offers a full
range of programs to stimulate your mind, body and
sprit. At Pacific Health & Rehabilitation, we make
it easy to visit with family and make new friends.
Our facility provides a wide variety of activities
designed to meet the interests and the physical,
mental and psychosocial needs of each resident. Our
Activity Director works with other professionals to
plan activities to meet the varied needs and
interests of each resident. These activities may
include events such as films, visits from schools
and local organizations, exercise class, Bible
study, music programs, and games. Activities are
scheduled seven days a week at various times
throughout the day and evening, and are posted
monthly on each residentís room door. The Activity
Staff assists residents with individual projects and
also supervises and leads group activities. Family
members are kept up to date about upcoming special
events through activity calendars.
Innovation and professional attention to detail are
basic ingredients of our dining service. A
Registered Dietician is available to evaluate
residents, and to plan nutritious and enjoyable
meals. Residents are encouraged to share food likes
and dislikes with the dietary staff so that
substitutions may be offered. A weekly menu and
daily menu is posted next to the dining room.
Residents and family members may request a copy of
the menu from the dietary supervisor. The residentís
Attending Physician and our Registered Dietician
will recommend an appropriate diet, and under the
supervision of the Dietary Supervisor, the
appropriate meals will be served.
Family members are welcome to bring in special food
after checking with nursing and dietary staff. Food
brought from the outside is not allowed in the main
kitchen area, so food brought from home should be in
small quantities. Families and friends are invited
and encouraged to share a meal with the resident for
a nominal fee. The dietary staff or office manager
can assist with the arrangements.
